La Llamada del Cholo
Okay, if you don’t know who Dora the Explorer is, and you’ve
never even heard of C’thul’hu, this poem is probably
complete gibberish, barely even English. But if you do, and
you have, trust me, it’s hilarious. What? You don’t believe
me?
Killing off the old characters and starting with a new “world”
allowed me to open it up and have some more fun again. H.
P. Lovecraft was something I hadn’t really played with, yet
and in the early days, I wasn’t even familiar with his work.
Here, I got to do my own “Lovecraftian” tale and even made
fun of that lovable Old One, Cthulhu.
In Lovecraft, the infamous Necronomicon is translated into
German and Latin from Arabic. But this is Dora, so I thought,
“What about Spanish?” Of course, this IS my world, so it had
to be Taco Bell Chihuahua’s translation, just because that
sounds stupid. Besides, who trusts TBC to translate an
ancient text? Hence, Cthulhu becomes Cholo. Therefore,
the title of this poem translated into English is: The Call of the
Cholo (Cthulhu).
